Plant for Hope
We have created this project, moved by our concern about the lack of nutrients and the great amount of chemicals present in the foods refugees, people in poverty and the society in general usually ingest. Aware of the importance of live, biological foods for the correct development of our mind and body, as well as the ecological relevance of spreading original, non-GMO, unmodified seeds, we have decided to take action.
We are organizing a group of locals, immigrants and refugees of al ages to share community work once a week; willing to generate bonds, build consciousness and grow foods essential for the well-being of many people. The harvest will be distributed between the people registered in our Food for Everyone program, the volunteers who choose to participate, different refugee camps, solidary projects and individuals around Athens.
During 2020 we were part of Social Garden Project, cultivating the land without harmful pesticides and fertilizers. This is an important part of our ideology, where building a self-sufficient community, based on volunteering, recycling and loving the environment is integral. Both for people and the planet.
